Welcome to the Children's Hospital at Westmead Clinical School

The Discipline of Paediatrics and Child Health has 19 academic staff (11 full-time, 8 part-time), 55 conjoint appointments, 117 clinical academic appointments, 11 research fellows, 6 adjunct appointments and 16 honorary appointments. The Discipline also has members in the Central, Northern, Western and Nepean Schools as well as the School of Rural Health at Dubbo and Orange. Within the Discipline there are about 75 postgraduate research students (PhD and Masters) and over 20 postgraduate coursework students (Master of Medicine (Paediatric Medicine)).

The hospital is a member of the Westmead Research Hub, with close links with other research communities such as Westmead Hospital (an adult facility) and the Children’s Medical Research Institute.

There is a strong and growing research environment at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead Clinical School, with 250 researchers across 30 research groups covering research areas including cell biology, clinical physiology, clinical studies, epidemiology and population health.
