Sydney Medical Program

Paediatric teaching occurs across the four years of the Sydney Medical Program, including Problem Based Learning cases, and Clinical Skills Teaching in Years 1 & 2.

The major paediatric component of the course is an 8 week fourth year rotation in Child and Adolescent Health. This includes clinical placements in paediatric medical, surgical and adolescent and community settings, including an option for rural placements. Also included is a program of structured teaching sessions, eg workshops, lectures and clinical reasoning sessions. An eight week pre-internship is available in general medical, general surgical teams and sub specialties.
